Following the sale of FM 94.7 to Cumulus Radio in 2012, Family Radio has acquired Radio Disney’s powerful AM 1560 in a deal that included WQEW’s transmitter site in Queens.

Family Radio’s President, Tom Evans remarked, “What a pleasure it has been working with the Disney team throughout the entire acquisition process,” and went on to say, “the new WFME 1560 AM will greatly encourage thousands of our listeners living in and around the Northeast, and we look forward to broadcasting once again our message of hope and truth…”
