Statement of Faith

Family Radio holds to the following Biblical standards:

1. The Bible alone, the only Gospel
The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is contained solely and entirely in the Bible alone.
All of the Bible was given by inspiration of the Spirit of God through the pen of chosen men,
beginning with Moses and ending with the Apostle John.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness     II Timothy 3:16

2.  Salvation
Salvation is a gift given only by God. Salvation was given to individual people God chose before
the foundation of the world. God's decision as to who would receive the gift of salvation was
according to God's good pleasure, and not based upon anything done by those who were chosen.
All mankind lost its right to salvation as a result of the sin of Adam, in the Garden of Eden,
so no person can lay claim to salvation by their volition or acceptance.
According as He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we
should be holy and without blame before Him in love; Having predestinated us unto
the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of
     His will,      Ephesians 1:4&5

3.  Saving Faith
One's faith to believe the Gospel and to please God is not found in mankind, but comes
only as part of the gift of salvation. Saving faith belongs only to Jesus Christ and comes
from God to one only after one becomes "born again"
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
     faith...     Galatians 5:22

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus
Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of
Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be
     justified.     Galatians 2:16

The faith of Jesus Christ is the only faith which pleases God. All human faith is
insufficient and not capable of initiating salvation.

Human faith fails when tested, but the faith of Jesus Christ is more than capable of
securing and safeguarding Christ's chosen people to the end of their earthly lives and as
well as throughout their eternal life with Him.

4.   Jesus Christ-God and only Savior of Mankind
Jesus Christ is God Himself and one of  three members of the Godhead, or the Trinity.
Jesus Christ is creator of the universe and all things were made by Him
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by Him, and for Him.          Colossians 1:12-20

Jesus Christ is the only Savior of mankind. Our salvation is found in no other person or
     means.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved.   Acts 4:12

5.  The work and works of God's people
God has foreordained each member of Christ's body, the true church, to perform certain
good works during his or her lifetime.
All work performed by God's people as a part of the building of the Body of Jesus Christ,
the temple of God, is "good work."
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, unto good works, which God
hath before ordained that we should walk in them.     Ephesians 2:10

All other supposed good works are in vain and looked upon by God as "filthy rags"

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and

we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
                                                                                                                          (Isaiah 64:6)

Christ's people are His witnesses and Ambassadors in this world. God's Spirit guides,
directs and empowers each member of Christ's body in the work of building Christ's
     church.
Every one of God's people is given grace to perform those things needful in the building
of the Kingdom of Christ according to the measure of the gift given to them by God.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ
                                                                                                                                      Ephesians 4:7

6.  The Church
The church of Jesus Christ is "one body" united under "one spirit" serving "one Lord"
     having "one faith"
Christ's church is made up of all those who have been born again"

The body of Jesus Christ is not a membership nor a human organization, rather it is a
unified heavenly kingdom, united by "One God, and Father of all, who is above all,
through all, and in..." all His people.     Ephesians 4:4-7

7.  The return of Jesus Christ
the exact moment of Christ's return is known only by God.
The body of Jesus Christ continues to look for and long for Christ's return, and
Family Radio teaches that the return of Jesus Christ will be very soon.
Jesus Christ will ccome for His people who are alive on this earth on day soon, and will
     meet them in the air.
They then will be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye and forever be with Him
in the New Heaven and New Earth.
How or when this will occur, only Christ, His Father and the Spirit know.
Christ's people are to continue to watch and "occupy" until the Savior, Jesus Christ
     comes for them.
God speaks of the return of Jesus Christ in I Thessalonians 4:14-17:

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will
God bring with Him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto
the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 Fr th Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
